Professor Opoku Amankwah has stated that having a licensure certificate can not be a yardstick for GES to recruit you as a graduate.
According to him in an interview on UTV GHANA, the professor stated that although the licensure certificate is one requirement for GES during recruitment, it doesn’t mean you will be recruited
Going further, he added that, the subject or your course of specialization is a major factor because GES recruit to fill specific vacancies or to teach specific subjects
“We said you must have your licensure before you can teach, so if GES ask for teachers with specialization in Geography, then you can apply” He added
He bemoan the worrying situation as to why unqualified graduates still apply and when not recruited blame the service
