GES explains why only 6,500 graduate teachers will be recruited

6,500 university graduates compared to 16,500 trained teachers

The Ghana Education Service has issued an explanation for the recruitment of just 6,500 graduate teachers compared to 16,500 trained teachers.

In an interview with Dadzie, Dr. Tandoh explained the reason university graduates have a little number in the space of GES recruitment.

According to him, the number of teachers( trained and university graduates) to be recruited come from along with the financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance.

“Financial clearance is specific in terms of recruitment, about 16,500 is for college of education graduates, we also have 6,500 university graduates to be recruited” he added

He also added that the portal will be opened for university graduates to apply, hence you should look out for Job announcements.
